6. Division: Justice, tax administration, immigration, defence and contingency

6th Division is responsible for supporting the government in the areas of justice, taxation, immigration, defence, societal resilience, contingency and governmental IT. Additionally the areas of responsibility include the expenditure policy concerning the Danish Royal Family, The Danish Parliament and the Prime Minister’s Office.

The division’s tasks are centred around the preparation of the annual national budget and the ongoing management of expenditures within the mentioned policy areas. This work entails the preparation of government proposals, political initiatives and agreements including conducting larger analyses.  

The division is responsible for the budgets of The Ministry of Taxation (§ 9.), The Ministry of Justice (§ 11.), The Ministry of Defence (§ 12.), The Ministry of Societal Resilience and Contingency (§ 13.), and The Ministry of Immigration & Integration (§ 14.). Furthermore, the division is responsible for the budgets of His Majesty the King (§ 1.), Members of the Royal Family (§ 2.), The Parliament (§ 3.), and the Prime Minister’s Office (§ 5.).
