6. Division: Justice, tax administration, immigration, defense and integration

The 6th Division handles the responsibilities of The Ministry of Finance regarding justice, taxation, immigration, integration, and defence. Furthermore, the division handles the responsibilities of The Ministry of Finance regarding the Danish Royal Family, The Danish Parliament, and the Prime Minister’s Office.

Within these policy areas, the division prepares economic policy proposals and initiatives to enhance efficient governance. Within the specified areas the division deals with all matters concerning the national budget including expenditure analysis, budget preparation etc. Furthermore, the office handles political cases regarding the areas of the division.

The division is responsible for the budgets of The Ministry of Taxation (§ 9.), The Ministry of Justice (§ 11.), The Ministry of Defence (§ 12.), and The Ministry of Immigration & Integration (§ 14.). Furthermore the division is responsible for the budgets of Her Majesty the Queen (§ 1.), Members of the Royal Family (§ 2.), The Parliament (§ 3.), and the Prime Minister’s Office (§ 5.).
