4. Division: Education and Teaching

The division is responsible for the budgets of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science (§ 19) and the Ministry of Children and Education (§ 20). It manages the budgetary work for these two ministries, including ongoing work on expenditure development and management.

The Ministry of Finance’s Division 4 is responsible for supporting government policy development, economic policy, and management in the areas of children, education, higher education, and research. In these areas, the office assists with budgetary work, conducts analyses of the educational system structure, participates in expert groups and political negotiations, and prepares political initiatives. Additionally, the office prepares registry-based analyses in the field of education and teaching.
