1. Division: Labour market policy and transfers

1st division monitors and analyses trends on the labour market, including adjustments of active labour market policies and the development in benefit recipients.

The division is responsible for budgetary issues within the area of the Ministry for Employment (§17). This includes drafting policy proposals and analysis concerning transfer payments, work environment and labour policies. In particular, the division is focused on the regulation of the employment system and analyses the efficiency of the overall employment policies.
