Denmark's Convergence Programme 2021 provides an overall sta-tus of the economic outlook for the Danish economy in the short, medium and long term. It is the first overall status following the latest wave of infections and the winter lockdown.

According to the Convergence Programme, Danish economic activity is pro-jected to increase significantly at an estimated GDP growth of 2 per cent in 2021 and almost 4 per cent in 2022. In the coming years, fiscal policy will be expansive in order to help the economy through the corona crisis in the best possible way. In total, fiscal policy supports approximately 85,000 jobs in 2021 and 40,000 jobs in 2022. At the same time, the objective of structural balance on the public finances in 2025 ensures that permanent expenditure measures are financed. The structures of the Danish economy are sound with the prospect of rising employment, low public debt, high confidence in the Danish economy and sustainable public finances.
