Budget Outlook 1, May 2013, presents a status of the general and central government finances.

In 2013, the deficit of the central government (the CIL-account) is estimated to DKK 24½bn (1.3 per cent of GDP). In 2012, the deficit on the CIL-account amounted to DKK 75.7bn (4.2 per cent of GDP), which among other things should be viewed in light of the repayment of early retirement savings of DKK 28½bn in 2012.

The general government deficits are estimated to 1.2 per cent of GDP in 2013 and 1.6 per cent of GDP in 2014. Excluding the temporary revenues from the reallocation of capital pension schemes, the public deficits are estimated to 2.3 per cent of GDP in 2013 and 2.7 per cent of GDP in 2014.

The real growth in public consumption in 2013 has been downward adjusted to 0.9 per cent from 1.6 per cent in the December projection. In 2014, the real growth in public consumption is estimated to 0.6 per cent, cf. Agreements on Growth Plan DK.
