Estimates of the central government’s net and gross financing requirements for 2026 and 2027 are shown in table 1 below. The gross financing requirement is estimated at DKK 115 bn. in 2026 and DKK 88 bn. in 2027. It comprises the net financing requirement, repayment of government debt, transactions in state-owned funds and purchases of various bonds for special purposes.
The gross financing requirement is financed through debt issuance or by drawing on the central government’s account at Danmarks
